Apricot Sour Cream Kolaczki Cookies 0.5lb
You’ll find different versions of these cookies throughout Central Eastern Europe, with different spellings to match. Whether you call them kolacky, kolache, kolaczki, or kolach, you can expect a simple cookie dough filled with jam and topped with powdered sugar. The name is derived from the Czech word for “circle” or “wheel.” Although using a round cookie cutter is a popular method with kolaczki, our recipe uses the classic technique of cutting the dough into squares and folding up two of the corners to meet, which allows the filling to show through and makes for a pretty presentation.
